The MINI Cooper, a more dashing version of the standard MINI, first hit the streets in 1961. Despite production being discontinued in 1970, the public remained fascinated by this unique bundle of fun. And so, at the inception of the MINI, Mike Cooper was asked to continue the tradition started by his father, John, and contribute his engineering know-how and racing expertise.

Located in East Preston, Southern England, John Cooper Works is the turning partner of MINI, which also means that the standard warranty of non John Cooper Works product is retained. A certificate signed by Mike Cooper is the guarantee of quality and authenticity. It contains the serial number (which is also stamped on the engine compartment plate) and the date of installation.
